Benefits of Membership
The Chamber serves as a strong voice in both local and state government, collectively representing members on issues that impact businesses. Through its Governmental Affairs Committee, the Chamber takes a proactive approach to influencing public policies that it believes will lead to or maintain a healthy state and regional business climate. LLRCC focuses on policy areas that are critical to the economic vitality of the region.
Business After Hours: A networking event where members connect one on one with other business professionals. These events are held in the evening at a different Chamber Member Location each time. Early Bird Breakfast and Lunch and Learn: We offer a rotating series of breakfast and lunch events with guest presentations that primarily focus on the issues important to members. Golf Tournament: The Annual Golf Tournament is a fundraiser that helps support many of the programs and activities that make chamber membership worthwhile. The tournament is a fun way to increase visibility of your business, mix with fellow chamber members, and play golf at area’s finest golf courses. Hot Stove League: During the legislative session discussions are held on the policy burner, including transportation, tax reform, and economic development. Chamber members and legislators sit around a table and talk about issues. Annual Dinner: The largest gathering of professionals is highlighted by a guest speaker and recognition of an area business of the year. Member EXPO: We invite members to promote products and services to attendees. The EXPO is intended to provide networking opportunities, helping members make more contacts and collect more sales leads than any other day of the year. Seminars: Seminars during the year focus on business development, wellness, economic development, and workplace issues. Economic Development Summit: Working with several towns in the LLRCC area on regional economic development goals. Seasonal Events: We hold seasonal events as part of a larger shop local campaign. Watch the website and our Facebook page for events like the Holiday Parade and Lights Contest.
Through participation in the LLRCC programs, seminars, and events, we provide many excellent networking opportunities that help you build and maintain relationships with other area businesses. There are many ways members can increase visibility. Each month a section of the website is devoted to member news and a member spotlight, grand openings, business relocation’s and company milestones are a way for us to work with you on ribbon cuttings, press releases, and photos to the media. When you have important news to share, we can help spread the word. We also offer EXPO, the area’s biggest trade show with advertising at discounted prices. Advertising opportunities, on our Facebook page, and the website Member Directory.
The Chamber assists callers and visitors looking for local products and services, as well as places to go and things to see.
